Studio Bricks Vocal Booth:
Ensuring you don’t receive bouncy audio featuring my neighbor’s barking dogs, construction sounds or lawnmowers in the area.
Neumann TLM 49: Lends richness, power and brilliance to the voice, while remaining balanced and transparent
This is my primary mic, and the one I’ll use unless you request otherwise. The TLM 49 uses the famous K 47 capsule, which was also used in the M 49 and the U 47. Sure to become another classic from Neumann.
MXL 2003: clarity; presence; silkiness
A condenser that pairs beautifully with a dash of light processing, unless you request I bypass. This was my primary mic up until October 2017.
Sure SM7b: flat, wide-range frequency response
Well-known to broadcasters, equally at home in the radio studio and in the VO studio. You’ll appreciate its flat, wide-range frequency response, which is perfect for close-mic’d vocals.
ElectroVoice RE20: smooth across a wide spectrum of frequencies
A broadcast standard dynamic mic, with or without the benefit of processing.
